Through the window of perception

Feelings appear larger than

They seem

 

Doubts, fears

Impressions slam against

The mind glass

 

Intensity of words spoken

Received and re-filtered

Through the impetuous pane

 

Framed by limitations

Occupied history, genetic handcuffs

Clamp dormant around the heart

 

Frozen,  window remains shut

To open one must

Step to the other side

 

Release the lock

Free the conscience

And Perceive the other side
